How we handle your information
Last updated: April 2026
What we collect
When you apply, we collect personal information including your name, contact details, date of birth, background information (profession, education, religion), lifestyle preferences, and your written narratives about yourself and what you're looking for in a partner.
We do not collect any financial information, government IDs, or sensitive health data.
How we use your data
Your application is read by a small, dedicated team. We use your information to:
• Review your application for suitability • Arrange a screening call to understand your context • Make curated introductions to compatible members • Communicate with you about the status of your application
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics platforms, or automated decision-making. Introductions are always made by a human member of our team.
Who sees your data
Your profile is never public. Your information is only shared with:
• The Parichay team who manually review applications • Individuals we introduce you to, after both parties have agreed to the introduction
We do not sell, share, or rent your data to any third parties.
How we protect your data
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption (Supabase / PostgreSQL on AWS). Access is restricted to authorised team members only via Row Level Security policies.
All connections use TLS encryption in transit. Sensitive fields (email, phone) are only accessible via service-level credentials — never exposed in client-side code.
Your rights
You have the right to:
• Request a copy of the data we hold about you • Request correction of inaccurate data • Request deletion of your data (subject to your application status) • Withdraw consent at any time (this will remove your application from active consideration)
To exercise any of these rights, use our contact form on the home page. We will respond within 7 working days.
Data retention
We retain your application data for as long as your application is active, or for up to 2 years if you are not approved, in case you re-apply.
If an introduction leads to a profile being created in our product, data is retained per that platform's privacy policy.
